Linda and Marisa are a mother/daughter duo, working together for over a decade, committed to helping individuals and couples experience greater success in their relationships and in their lives.

Linda Schnapp

Linda is a gifted presenter and psychotherapist described as: passionate, knowledgeable, personable, dynamic, insightful, respectful, warm, enthusiastic, funny and having a mastery over the material.

Linda has been presenting the Getting the Love You Want couples workshop for the past 20 years. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work from Hunter College and an Advanced Certificate Degree in Clinical Social Work from NYU. Prior to receiving her degree in Social Work, she was an elementary school teacher.

Linda worked in The Rye Middle School for twenty five years where she counseled adolescents and their families. She has over thirty years of experience in private practice working with individuals, couples and families.

Since 1992, Linda has developed and implemented workshops on Imago theory for Manhattanville College teachers, Wainwright House, B’nai Brith, Mamaroneck Community Counseling Center, and for the Edgemont, Tuckahoe, Mamaroneck, Bronxville, and Rye City school districts. She has also conducted parenting groups for Whitby School and in the communities of Rye, Larchmont and Mamaroneck.

Linda has been married for forty years.

Marisa Schnapp

Marisa is a highly skilled psychologist described by workshop participants as helpful, supportive, warm, caring, excellent, and a true gem. Marisa has over 15 years of comprehensive psychotherapy experience. Her warmth, sincerity and sense of humor help clients feel comfortable. She believes that through safety and trust, individuals can learn, grow and heal. A little more about her educational and work background: After graduating from Emory University, she earned a Doctorate in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Her training included working in a variety of clinical settings. She is highly skilled in a number of therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, interpersonal and cognitive behavioral therapy. Marisa trained at Four Winds Hospital and worked for several years at the Forbush School at Sheppard Pratt Hospital. She has been in private practice for over 10 years. Since returning to New York, she has joined forces with her mother to build a group practice. Marisa has been facilitating Linda’s Imago Workshops for Couples and Individuals several times a year since 2001. Marisa has been married for twelve years.
